Microfilm copies

Subject: Convenient way to get microfilm copiesFrom: phylliskramer1@att.net (phylliskramer1@att.net)Date: Mon, 17 Jul 2006 20:46:32 +0000X-Message-Number: 2I've fought with microfilm printers and digital cameras... and most of the time I have lost. But there is another way!!Jewish Records Indexing-Poland (JRI-P) has instructions on the LDS "Request for Photocopies" form. The form is easy to use and costs only $2 per page, and it takes about three weeks for them to send you readable photocopies! I used it recently and can recommend it. You need the film number, the event, date and item number -- all easily available on the JRI-P pages on JewishGen or on the microfilms you will read at the conference. To get the form, go to www.familysearch.org .1- Click on the Search tab.2- Click on Research Helps, below the Search tab.3- Click on "Sorted by Document Type," on the left side of the screen.4- Scroll down to "Requests for Photocopies - Census, Books, Microfilm, or Microfiche," form #31768. Click on the title.5- Click on "Download the Printable (PDF) Version" and you have the form with all the instructions.Happy hunting!
