But I believe it wouldbe most useful for all potential contributors to have an inventory of 1)records that have already been translated, 2) records currently in processof translation, 3) records that are not yet completed for lack of funding,and 4) records available that have not yet entered the pipeline. This willpermit us to direct our contributions to where they will be most useful. In particular I want to thank Michael Witkin and Aaron Roetenberg for theirefforts in the completion of the Birzai and Panevezys records that wererecently distributed. Please consider making a $100 contribution today to qualify to receive Excel spreadsheet of full translations of the records for your town. We are coordinating vital record projects for Babtai, Cekiske, Dotnuva, Grinkiskis, Rumsiskes and Seredzius. Here is a progress report on these vital record projects:Babtai, with only four donors, has completed Births 1875 to 1891 and 1913-14; Marriages 1875 to 1902; Deaths 1875 to 1884. You will receive these records when you make your contribution.Cekiske - Births for 1865 to 1906 have been translated. Four donors are supporting this project; with Marriages and Deaths still to go, more donations are needed.Dotnuva - only two donors so far -- we can begin translation as soon as we have two more donations! Dotnuva records for 1922-39 are mixed in with the Kedainiai Rabbinate records, and donors to Dotnuva will receive these records (births and marriages completed).Grinkiskis - Birth records have been completed - 1844, 1873 through 1914. Only four donors have supported this project so far and work on marriage records will begin shortly but more donations are needed.Rumsiskes - translation is just beginning, with only three donors - we can complete part of the birth records but additional participation is needed.The Seredzius Vital Record Project has completed the translation of the Birth and Marriage records - Birth records begin with 1844, then 1865 through 1906 (1896 records are missing). Marriage records begin with 1844, then 1854 through 1906. Now is the time for anyone with roots in Seredzius to make a contribution of $100 or more. The death records will be translated as soon as funding is available. Seven researchers have contributed so far for Seredzius but there are more researchers out there. Please participate -- remember that once the records have been translated, they will be available for all of our families in the future through the All Lithuania Database.
